I was excited to receive this as a gift, since it was way out of my budget. Unfortunately my gift giver's money could have been spent better. The product is made in China, despite Ball/Kerr proclaiming to be a USA company (perhaps it is just their jars). The sticker on the front doesn't come off with any ease and required scrubbing, albeit gently with a nylon sponge, it still left marks in an attempt to get the sticker off so it wouldn't catch fire. After one day's use, the bottom of the pot is beginning to pit and the basket is showing signs of rust. Really disappointed in what I was hoping would be a beautiful, high quality piece of kitchen equipment. You might consider simply buying your basic black and white speckled canner and refreshing it every 5 years or so to save yourself the disappointment and expense.

I recently upgraded my canning supplies and added this canner to them. Nice size, I thought it would be a little bit heavier stainless. The glass lid is great, but I still am very cautious of where I set it down while hot. It's nice to see inside.
The label I soaked it and pealed and repeated a couple of times and it was off soon. Thanks to these reviews, we came up with solutions.
The biggest and only fault I can find is that it was made in China..we can make this in the U.S.A.!!

I like this canner a lot. It came with a couple of dents, but Amazon rep was great about return or discount on existing product. I chose to keep it. Works fine and I didn't request discount. I had researched it on internet for best canner for my stove. This works perfectly.

Received my Jarden canner over the weekend and put it to work canning jalapenos. It worked great and held plenty of pint jars. During processing I found out an easy way to get the label off. After reading reviews about the label problem I tried leaving the label on during the first canning run. Halfway thru I gently tugged at the label while the canner was hot and the label peeled right off. No residue or label was left on the canner and the side was nice and shiny where the label had been. A great canner that will see a lot of use this summer.

Love the canner and liked that it was a Ball product. Works great on my glass top stove!
My box was setting on the patio, in the 99 degree sun, when I come home. When I open the box the canner felt very warm. I noticed the label was rolled up on one end and pulled it off with no residue of any kind on the side of the pot. For future buyers, just set the pot in the sun for an hour and pull label off with no problems.
